When the time comes to sell your Tesla, it can become confusing and frustrating trying to find the correct buyer that offers you the amount you feel your Tesla deserves. Selling online is also the best way to receive the maximum amount for your vehicle. At We Love Tesla we make this as easy as possible so that you can get the price you deserve.
Documentation
To ensure the sale of your Tesla goes smoothly you should make sure that you have all of the proper documentation to hand. These include;
- Locating the title of your vehicle. If you own the Tesla outright then you should already have the title in your possession. This will then be signed over to the buyer to release legal liability and ownership.
- Sorting the lien. If the vehicle is financed, then the title is owned by the bank and released upon payoff of the loan. If this is the case, then the finance will usually handle the transfer of ownership directly with the buyer.
- An up-to-date screenshot of the vehicle’s mileage should also be available from the Tesla app, alongside the bill of sale. This officiates the purchase between the buyer and seller.
Preparation/Presentation
This is not mandatory but gives a good impression. We suggest cleaning the exterior and interior of the vehicle prior to us collecting.
Price
Make sure you have a valuation that you want in your head. That way you don’t go in blind. Compare your Tesla online to other similar spec ones and on other comparison sites to gauge what the value is (although we’re pretty confident that we beat any other valuation provided by our competitors!).
Collection
Finally, once all this has been taking care of, we will come to a location chosen by you in order to have an inspection of the vehicle, just to make sure it is in the condition you say it is. Once this is done, we will bank transfer you your money before we drive it away. You could then put that money to a brand new Model 3!
